SOLUTION SEEKING

Solution Seeking, to me, means finding meaningful long-term effective solutions for hiccups and issues that arise or have been systemically driven for decades. Practically speaking, this means creating positive work cultures that embrace collaboration, fosters mutually supportive relationships, and communicates remedies to aide in belonging in schools. 

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Continuous improvement is vital for progression and advancement, both individually and in companies. If one does not reflect, then there is a loss of mission, purpose, and trajectory.  My continuous improvement has been specifically driven by my current coursework, books, and relevant and reflective dialogue with others. 

 

EQUITY/MORAL COURAGE

The heart of the "why." People in all of their beautiful diversity have much to contribute to conversations. This is why equity and moral courage are crucial to my mission.

 

ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION

Throughout my education and career, I have been blessed to work with the best of the best on both projects and planning. My relationships are long-lasting and networks created are sustained over time. 

 

One of the greatest gifts and assets in life is people. People who teach me through experiences, through their own personal narratives, and through their challenging questions help me delve deeper into metacognition.  

Opportunities to engage and collaborate with peers has given me some of the greatest learning. Having discussions regarding paradigms, leadership values, and the concept of power have proven to challenge my prior knowledge and have spurred on more connections.
